Messages
Cause. The storage subsystem manager received an error when communicating with
SIFM.
Effect. The command was not executed.
Recovery. Take the action directed by the error messages and try the command
again.
1024: ZSTO-EVT-DEVICE-ALTER-STOP
The storage subsystem manager reports an implicit device termination because of an
ALTER command.

Cause. An ALTER command terminated a device.
Effect. The device is terminated.
Recovery. This is an informational message only; no corrective action is needed. The
device can be started by the next START command.
