4 Interprocessor Bus Event
Messages (ZIPB)
Interprocessor bus (IPB) event messages are reported to the EMS by the monitor
process. Each event message identifies a bus (X bus or Y bus), processors, and other
information specific to the event.

Common Definitions
Common definitions are definitions that are used in several (usually three or more)
event messages for a specific subsystem or system component. IPB event messages
use definitions from the following sources:

100: ZIPB-EVT-BUSSEND
The sending processor detected a problem on the
bus.
101: ZIPB-EVT-BUSDOWN
A bus to a processor is down.
102: ZIPB-EVT-BUSXSUM
The receiving processor detected bus checksum
errors.
104: ZIPB-EVT-BUSUP
A bus to a processor is up.
105: ZIPB-EVT-BUSMISC
Bus-receive sequence errors or unexpected
packets were received from a processor.
106: ZIPB-EVT-INQTIMEOUTS
A full packet was not found in the INQ.
107: ZIPB-EVT-OUTQPARITY
A parity error occurred on the OUTQ of the IPB
interface.
108: ZIPB-EVT-
EXCESIVEOUTQTIMEOUTS
The processor timed out while waiting for the
OUTQ.
109: ZIPB-EVT-MISROUTE
A processor received a packet intended for another
processor.
110: ZIPB-EVT-
BUSCTRLPARITYERROR
A reset or parity error occurred on a controller bus.
111: ZIPB-EVT-IPBSENDERROR
An error occurred in the IPB send hardware.
112: ZIPB-EVT-IPBRECERROR
An error occurred in the IPB receive hardware.
113: ZIPB-EVT-MASKINT
Bus reception was turned off on a bus.
114: ZIPB-EVT-BUSCRCERROR
A processor received a CRC error message.
