Event Management Service (EMS) Standard Definitions
EMS standard definitions that have a specific meaning for ZDSC events are listed in
Table 24-3.
EMS standard definitions are described in detail in the EMS Manual.
Configuration Services (ZDSC-) Definitions
ZDSC definitions begin with ZDSC- and are found in the source definition file
$SYSTEM.ZSPIDEF.ZDSCDDL. These definitions are described in the following
paragraphs and under each event message in this section.

Token Description
ZSPI-TKN-SSID Contains ZDSC-VAL-SSID, the subsystem ID of ZDSC.
ZSPI-SSN-ZDSC Subsystem number of ZDSC.

ZEMS-TKN-EVENTNUMBER ZEMS-TKN-ACTION-NEEDED
ZEMS-TKN-EMPHASIS
Token Description
ZEMS-TKN-EVENTNUMBER Event number for each ZDSC event message.
ZEMS-TKN-ACTION-NEEDED Occurs in event message pairs. The first message
indicates that operation intervention is needed (ZSPI-VAL-
TRUE), and the second message indicates that operator
intervention is completed (ZSPI-VAL-FALSE).
ZEMS-TKN-EMPHASIS Has the value ZSPI-VAL-TRUE for those configuration
services event messages that are potentially critical.
Otherwise, it always has the value ZSPI-VAL-FALSE.
