Unconditional Tokens
Cause. A tape volume is mounted on a tape drive on which the tape density can be
set programmatically (5106 or 5130), and the density specified in the DEFINE for the
tape is different from the existing tape density of the volume. In addition, one of the
following is true:
The volume is being used for output and the file being accessed is not the first file
on the volume.
The volume is being used for output and an existing file is being extended.
Effect. The tape volume’s existing density is used.
Recovery. This is a warning message only. Consider changing the DEFINE.
657: ZTAP-EVT-TAPEMODEUSED
The tape mode specified in the TAPE DEFINE for a labeled tape is different from the
existing tape mode of the volume. The existing mode of the volume is used.
Token Description
ZEMS-TKN-EVENTNUMBER Event number for this message. Value is ZTAP-EVT-
DENSITYUSED (656).
ZTAP-TKN-DEV-NAME Subject token that specifies the tape drive device name
in the system.
ZEMS-TKN-TEXT Standard EMS token that contains the message text.

ZTAP-TKN-TAPE-VOLUME Subject token that specifies the volume serial number of
the tape volume.
ZTAP-TKN-USED-DENSITY Tape density that will be used. Values are ZTAP-VAL-
800BPI, ZTAP-VAL-1600BPI, and ZTAP-VAL-6250BPI.
ZTAP-TKN-REQD-DENSITY Tape density requested in the DEFINE. Values are
ZTAP-VAL-800BPI, ZTAP-VAL-1600BPI, and ZTAP-VAL-
6250BPI.
