Messages
Cause. A 3202 controller successfully retried a tape write operation.
The write is retried until either it is successful, a nonreturnable error occurs, or 40
retries have been attempted. If the retry is successful, this message is generated; if
not, some other message is generated. The retryable error conditions are overrun,
parity error, and CRC error.
The event message contains information explaining the reason for the retry operation.
This message could indicate an intermittent problem with the channel, controller, drive,
or tape media.
Effect. None.
Recovery. If the error continues to occur, see Recovery Action Requiring Vendor
Support on page 10-15.
