Unconditional Tokens
Cause. A 3202 controller successfully retried a tape read operation.
The tape media or tape drive failed. The read operation is retried up to 40 times it is
successful or a nonretryable error occurs. If the retry is successful, this message is
generated; if not, some other message is generated. The retryable error conditions are
overrun, parity error, and CRC error. This message could indicate an intermittent
problem with the channel, controller, drive, or tape media.
Effect. None.
Recovery. If the error continues to occur, see Recovery Action Requiring Vendor
Support on page 10-15.
