Messages
Cause. An EIO instruction was issued, and the TERMSTAT returned indicates that the
NVRAM checksum is incorrect. Either the data written into the NVRAM is invalid, or the
controller is incorrectly calculating the checksum. The TERMSTAT values are:
Effect. The tape operation aborts.
Recovery. If the error continues to occur, see Recovery Action Requiring Vendor
Support on page 10-15.
