Messages
Cause. An EIO instruction was issued, and the TERMSTAT returned indicates that a
soft self-test error occurred on a controller. The TERMSTAT values are:
Effect. The tape operation aborts.
Recovery. If several of these events occur, replace the controller board. If the error
continues to occur, see Recovery Action Requiring Vendor Support on page 10-15.
