Unconditional Tokens
Cause. An EIO instruction was issued, and the TERMSTAT returned indicates that an
uncorrectable data error occurred. Depending on the particular device status value, this
event message can indicate a problem with the media, drive, controller, or channel.
The TERMSTAT values are:
Effect. The tape operation aborts.
Recovery. Check the tape and try it on another drive. If the tape is causing the
problem, replace it. If the error continues to occur, see Recovery Action Requiring
Vendor Support on page 10-15.
302: ZTAP-EVT-D-PATH-PARITY-ERROR
A data-path parity error occurred.
