Messages
Cause. An EIO instruction was issued to a 3206 controller, and the TERMSTAT
returned indicates that the formatter rejected the command. Depending on the drive
status value, this event message can indicate a problem with the drive, formatter, or
controller. The TERMSTAT values are:
Effect. The tape operation aborts.
Recovery. If the error continues to occur, see Recovery Action Requiring Vendor
Support on page 10-15.
