Unconditional Tokens
Cause. An EIO instruction was issued, and the TERMSTAT returned indicates that a
write of fewer than 24 bytes occurred. If a write of fewer than 24 bytes was not issued,
this event message indicates a problem with the controller or channel. The TERMSTAT
values are:
Effect. The tape operation aborts.
Recovery. If the error continues to occur, see Recovery Action Requiring Vendor
Support on page 10-15.
