Unconditional Tokens
Cause. An EIO instruction was issued, and the TERMSTAT returned indicates that the
physical EOT was encountered on a 3209 controller. This event message usually
indicates a software error or a problem with the tape drive. The TERMSTAT values are:
Effect. The tape operation aborts.
Recovery. Ensure that the operation does not try to write beyond the EOT marker. If
the error is not a software error, contact your service provider.
