Messages
Cause. The RIC word from an I/O operation on a 3202 controller has the command
reject flag set. The controller sets this flag if any of the following occur:

A command for an illegal address is received.

An illegal command is received.
An error occurred on a previous command when command chaining. (The tape
process does not use command chaining, so this event must never occur.)
Effect. The tape operation aborts.
Recovery. If the error continues to occur, see Recovery Action Requiring Vendor
Support on page 10-15.
