Messages
Unconditional Tokens
Cause. A controller or channel problem occurred. An EIO instruction was issued, and
the RDST or the channel status returned contained an error condition.
Effect. The tape operation aborts.
Recovery. For more information, you can access the TMDS HELP file for this event.
You can do this from your terminal by entering:
23> TMDS
TMDS> SWITCHTO TAPE
TAPE> HELP EV401
If the error continues to occur, see Recovery Action Requiring Vendor Support
on
page 10-15.
