Messages
Cause. A controller or channel problem occurred. An IIO instruction was issued, and
the RIST or the channel status returned contained an error condition. The EIO
instruction executed properly, but the IIO instruction failed.
Effect. The tape operation aborts.
Recovery. For more information, you can access the TMDS HELP file for this event.
You can do this from your terminal by entering:
23> TMDS
TMDS> SWITCHTO TAPE
TAPE> HELP EV402
If the error continues to occur, see Recovery Action Requiring Vendor Support on
page 10-15.
