Unconditional Tokens
Cause. An interrupt was received from a device before the previous interrupt from that
device was processed. A unit must not interrupt more than once per EIO instruction.
Effect. The tape operation aborts.
Recovery. The controller, the drive, or the cabling could cause such interrupt
overruns. If several of these events occur on different drives but on the same
controller, the event probably does not indicate a drive problem.
Look for the failed component in this order: cabling connectors, cabling, and controller.
If the error continues to occur, see Recovery Action Requiring Vendor Support on
page 10-15.
