Messages
Cause. An I/O attempt failed because of a path or media error. This message
describes the action taken by the disk process. This event message is informational
and must be preceded by other event messages, such as retry and error messages.
Effect. The disk process makes an entry in the spare tracks table (STT), downs a
path, or tries to switch processors as indicated by the ACTION/DOWN field of the
event-message text.
Recovery. This is an informational message only; no corrective action is needed.
5003: ZDSK-EVT-BAD-FST
The disk process detected an invalid FST; the table contains invalid data.

ZDSK-VAL-IO-HALFOP The I/O request failed because a two-path write
succeeded on only one half of the volume.
ZDSK-VAL-IO-MEDIA-FAILURE The I/O request failed because of media failures.
ZDSK-VAL-IO-PATH-FAILURE The I/O request failed because of path failures.
ZDSK-VAL-IO-SUCCEEDED The I/O request was successful.
