Messages
Cause. The disk process issued an extended command, and one of the following drive
errors occurred:
Command
Channel interface
Controller
Device interface
Drive
ECC
Effect. Retries on this path have failed. Other paths are tried if they are available. The
drive goes down if no other paths are available and the error is not a media failure.
Recovery. Check for a hardware problem in the drive, controller, or channel.
ZDSK-TKN-INSRT-BLOCK-XSUM Opcode modifier used by the WRITE command. A
block checksum will be calculated and inserted into the
structured block. This token appears only if ZDSK-
TKN-OPCODE has a value of ZDSK-VAL-WRITE-OP
and the corresponding opcode modifier was specified.
ZDSK-TKN-NO-CHAN-DATA Opcode modifier used by the READ command. No
channel transfer will occur through the data IOC. This
token appears only if ZDSK-TKN-OPCODE has a value
of ZDSK-VAL-READ-OP and the corresponding opcode
modifier was specified.
ZDSK-TKN-RES-XSUM-ARRAY Opcode modifier for the READ-OP command. A
checksum array will be returned from the controller.
This token appears only if ZDSK-TKN-OPCODE has a
value of ZDSK-VAL-READ and the corresponding
opcode modifier was specified.
ZDSK-TKN-RESIDUE-ADDR Sector address of the sector that encountered the error.
This token appears only if there is an address
associated with this event.
ZDSK-TKN-RESIDUE-CNT Remaining number of sectors to transfer. This token
appears only if there is an address associated with this
event.
ZDSK-TKN-SECTOR-ADDR Specifies the initial sector address. This token appears
only if there is an address associated with this event.
ZDSK-TKN-SECTOR-CNT Initial number of sectors to transfer. This token appears
only if there is an address associated with this event.
ZDSK-TKN-SUBSTATUS Error that occurred.
