Event Management Service (EMS) Standard Definitions
EMS standard definitions that have a specific meaning for NonStop operating system
events are listed in Table Table 13-3.
EMS standard definitions are described in detail in the EMS Manual.
NonStop Operating System (ZNSK-) Definitions
NonStop operating system definitions begin with ZNSK- and are found in the source-
definition files ZNSKTAL, ZNSKCOB, ZNSKTACL, ZNSKDDL, ZNSKC, and ZNSKPAS.
These definitions are described in this section.

Token Description
ZSPI-TKN-SSID Contains ZNSK-VAL-SSID, the subsystem ID of the NonStop operating
system.
ZSPI-SSN-ZNSK Subsystem number assigned to the NonStop operating system.

Token Description
ZEMS-TKN-ACTION-NEEDED Occurs in event message pairs. The first message
indicates that operation intervention is needed (ZSPI-
VAL-TRUE), and the second message indicates that
operator intervention is completed (ZSPI-VAL-FALSE).
ZEMS-TKN-EMPHASIS Has the value ZSPI-VAL-TRUE for those NonStop
operating system event messages that are potentially
critical. Otherwise, ZEMS-TKN-EMPHASIS always has
the value ZSPI-VAL-FALSE.
ZEMS-TKN-EVENTNUMBER Event number for each NonStop operating system event
message.
