Power States
The system is operating
normally. The batteries are
connected, enabled, and
charged.
AC power fails for less

The batteries provide power
to the server components
inside the enclosures.

The default time for power-fail
protection is 30 seconds.
AC power fails for more
than 30 seconds.
Processing is interrupted.
The batteries provide power
to memory, usually for
approximately 45 minutes,
depending on charge state
and the system configuration.
Memory contents are saved
until the batteries are drained.
The system is operating
normally. The batteries are
disconnected, disabled, or not
charged.
AC power fails. Processing halts.
Memory content is lost.
Processing cannot be
recovered from the point
where AC power failed.
AC power fails for more than 30
seconds. The batteries are
maintaining the contents of
memory.
AC power is restored
before the batteries are
drained.
Power is applied to the server
components.
The system restarts
