Differences Between IOMF CRUs (Model 1952) and IOMF 2
CRUs
The IOMF 2 CRU has all the functions of the IOMF CRU (model 1952) except that the
unused modem port is removed from the IOMF 2 CRU (model 1980).
In addition, the IOMF 2 CRU:
•
Has three configurable ServerNet ports, two of which are unused at this time
•
Is supported on G06.11 and later RVUs and on G06.10 with a software product
revision (SPR)
•
Is backward compatible with all NonStop S-series systems except NonStop S700
systems
•
Offers improved throughput when used with PMF 2 CRUs
•
Offers improved disk performance on sequential I/O
•
Uses an Ultra SCSI PIC in the SCSI port
•
Offers improved throughput when used with MSEBs
