5 Reducing a System Offline
This section describes the procedure for removing enclosures offline.
Reducing a system offline is removing enclosures from a donor system after you have
shut down the entire system. You can do this on any RVU. For systems running an
RVU earlier than G06.04, this is the only way to reduce a system.
The procedure for reducing your system offline is:
When you finish the offline removal of enclosures from the donor system, you are
ready to expand the target system. Proceed to Section 6, Expanding a System Online.
