This edition of the NonStop Java Programmer's Reference differs from the previous edition (part number
426947-001) in the following ways:
Information about explicitly specifying floating-point format has been added to the description of
IEEE floating-point implementation in the section "Compaq Implementation Specifics."

A section has been added to describe the use of the Compaq NonStop Server for Java...based on Java
2 Platform, Standard Edition, SDK 1.2.2 (short form: NonStop Java) with the JDBC Driver for
NonStop SQL/MX to access Compaq NonStop SQL/MX databases. Compliance information about
the JDBC Driver for SQL/MP has been added to "Accessing NonStop SQL/MP Databases" as well.

A section has been added to describe the use of the JDBC Trace Facility.●
The sections "Accessing Pathway Servers" and "Scalable TCP/IP (SIP)" have been removed from
this reference, as they now refer to features of the Compaq JToolkit for NonStop Servers and are
included in the documentation for that product.
