Deployment-Time Tasks
These are the steps you must take to deploy a SOAP server as a Pathway_CGI
process. For more detailed information, see Configuring and Running the Server in a
WebServer Environment on page 6-60.
1. Copy the Pathway_CGI executable, the DTDs, and the SDL file to an appropriate
directory under the iTP WebServer root directory.
2. Create/update the NonStop SOAP configuration file containing environment
variables for the SOAP server. This configuration file is an XML document.
3. Create a local configuration file to define the Pathway_CGI process in the iTP
WebServer environment. Include this configuration file in your iTP WebServer
configuration file.
4. Restart the iTP WebServer.
Prerequisite Software
You need these software to run the SOAP Admin tool:
NonStop operating system (G06.20 or later RVU, or H06.03 or later RVU)
OSS (T8620) installed and running
NonStop XML parser version 5.0 installed. You can use either NonStop XML parser
or NonStop XML parser with IEEE support.
DDL (T9100D40) for accessing TS/MP services
You need these software to build a SOAP server, using the Makefile:
NonStop operating system (G06.20 or later RVU, or H06.03 or later RVU)
OSS (T8620) installed and running
NonStop XML parser version 5.0 installed. You can use either NonStop XML parser
or NonStop XML parser with IEEE support.
T9225 TNS/R C++ Compiler, IPM AAS or later, installed (only if you are using the
user-exit features)
You need these software to run a SOAP server:
NonStop operating system (G06.20 or later RVU, or H06.03 or later RVU)
OSS (T8620) installed and running
iTP WebServer (T8996, T8997, and T7950) version 6.0 SPR ABR or later installed

If the SOAP server will run as a Pathway_CGI process. (You can use the code
generated by the SOAP Admin tool to build a process that accesses TS/MP
