Compatibility and Migration

The C++ code generation option available with prior releases is discontinued with
NonStop SOAP 3.0.
•
The Makefile generated to build the user-exit code uses C++ Version 3.
•
The installation script will need to be run to migrate NonStop SOAP 2.4 SDRs to
the NonStop SOAP 3.0 SDR.

The WSDL documents generated in NonStop SOAP 3.0 for services referring to
DDL definitions containing the @SOAP_OPTIONAL DDL comment tag at a group
field level is different than in prior releases. For a detailed description of the WSDL
changes, see Enhanced DDL Comment Tag @SOAP_OPTIONAL on page 4-45.

Multi-reference in document style SOAP messages is not supported in NonStop
SOAP 3.0.
•
The WSDL documents generated by NonStop SOAP are compatible with these
Web Services clients:

Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 toolkit
•
Apache Axis for Java version 1.1
