Installing GUI-Based NonStop SOAP Admin Tool
To install a GUI-based SOAP Admin tool:
1. Enter the directory location where NonStop SOAP version 3.0 has been installed.
The accepted default is /usr/tandem/nssoap/t0603h01 (for H-series systems only).
2. Enter the directory location where the NonStop XML parser version 5.0 has been
installed. The default directory is /usr/tandem/xml/T0563H01 (for H-series systems
only).
3. Enter a Guardian volume and subvolume location for the NonStop SOAP
Administration server’s metadata, ($
Volume Name
.
sub-volume name
).
4. Enter the directory location of the iTP WebServer directory. The accepted default is
/usr/tandem/webserver.
5. Enter the subdirectory name for the deployment file to be created. The directory
needs to be under the iTP WebServer directory. The default deployment directory
is entered as “soapadmin”.
6. The script prints lines that need to be added to the local.config file in the iTP
WebServer conf directory. The local.config file exists since it was created during
the installation of NonStop SOAP. After the lines are added, the script says to
restart the iTP WebServer.
Go to the deployment directory of Soapadmin server and follow the instructions
mentioned in the deploy_instructions file.
Installation Steps for the Windows Workstation
Prerequisites
The NonStop SOAP Admin GUI requires Windows XP or Windows 2000.

Since the NonStop SOAP Admin GUI is a Java application, Java needs to be
installed on the workstation. The JDK should be version 1.4.1 or later, and the
JAVA_HOME and PATH environment variables should be set properly.

Post-installation script Step 4 should be completed before beginning the
workstation installation (Installing the NonStop SOAP Admin Server for the GUI-
based NonStop SOAP Admin Tool).

Review the NonStop SOAP Utilities, T0623H01, SOFTDOC, which contains
installation instructions.
•
Copy the T0623TAR from $vol.ZSOAPV30 location on the NonStop system.
NonStop SOAP Admin GUI Installation
1. Copy the T0623TAR file from the NonStop system to a directory on the workstation
and rename it as T0623.tar
