The information gathered or to be specified includes:
— The “Request name” is automatically generated for the receive software request by
the software management server. It has two parts: a prefix and a suffix. The prefix
will be “Receive Software” and the suffix will be the date and time of the request, in
the format: yyyy-mm-dd:hh:mm.
— “Request description” is an optional field in which the planner can describe the
software package being received.
— “Software name” allows the planner to have the software package named
automatically (which is the default) or to specify a name, using up to 17 characters.
— “Receive options” allows the planner a choice of receiving all files or only the changed
files. The default is to receive only the changed files.
• The Input Source tab allows a planner to specify where to receive the software package
from; the choices being from a Tape drive or from subvolumes on a disk.
