NonStop System Console Installer Guide

To launch the NonStop Maintenance LAN DHCP DNS Configuration Wizard, select Start > All
Programs > HP OSM > NonStop Maintenance LAN DHCP DNS Configuration Wizard.
To check the version of the NonStop Maintenance LAN DHCP DNS Configuration Wizard, click
the About button.
For installation instructions, see “Running NonStop System Management Tools Master Installer”
(page 27).
Verify Down System CLIM Firmware Update Tool
The Down System CLIM Firmware Update Tool, used in conjunction with the "Prepare for Down
System CLIM Firmware Update" action in the OSM Service Connection, provides a method for
updating firmware/BIOS for CLuster I/O Module (CLIM) components when you are planning to
bring the NonStop system down. With system availability not an issue, using this tools allows the
update to be run on multiple CLIMs at the same time, resulting in a much more efficient update
process.
To launch the Down System CLIM Firmware Update Tool, select Start > All Programs > HP OSM >
Down System CLIM Firmware Update Tool.
To check the version of the Down System CLIM Firmware Update Tool, click the About button.
For information on how to use the Down System CLIM Firmware Update Tool, see the online help
available within the tool.
Verify Apache OpenOffice
OpenOffice provides a method to view spreadsheets, documents, presentations on the system
console; for example, files created by OSM in .csv (or comma delimited) format, such as hardware
inventories created by the OSM System Inventory Tool, and Access Control List reports or saved
Multi-Resource Views created in the OSM Service Connection.
To launch OpenOffice, select Start > All Programs > OpenOffice.
To check the version of OpenOffice, select Help > About OpenOffice.org.
Verify OSM Low-Level Link
1. Select Start > All Programs > HP OSM and start OSM Low-Level Link.
2. Select Help>About HP OSM to display application information.

Tools Master Installer” (page 27) and “Installing OSM Low-Level Link (T0633ABT) (page 46) for
instructions.
Verify SP Tool
The SP Tool is installed through the NonStop System Management Tools Master Installer, both as
part of the OSM Low-Level Link and as a standalone application.
NOTE: The SP Tool is now also packaged with the OSM Low-Level Link. You can install and use
either version.
To determine the version of SP Tool currently installed on your system console:
1. Select Start > All Programs > HP SP Tool > SP Tool.
2. Click Help in the SP Tool Logon dialog box.
3. Select Help >Version.

Master Installer” (page 27) and “Installing SP Tool Version 2.8” (page 34) for instructions.
