7 Running NonStop System Management Tools Master
Installer
Install the applications from the NonStop System Management Tools Master Installer only after you
have installed the third-party products (for example, Internet Explorer 8.0) on the NSC DVD.
The NonStop System Management Tools Master Installer (T0354ABB) enables you to install OSM
and related client-based components, including:
• comForte MR-Win6530 Terminal Emulator
• OSM Low-Level Link
• OSM Console Tools (which also launches installers for OSM Inventory Tool, OSM Certificate
Tool, Down System CLIM Firmware Update Tool, and NonStop Maintenance LAN DHCP DNS
Configuration Wizard)
• Halted State Services (HSS) which is used for all NonStop systems running J-series software
except for NS2000 series
• PuTTY
• OpenSSH
• SP Tool
• WAN Wizard Pro Client
NOTE: The previous version of HSS must always be uninstalled before installing a new HSS
version. To uninstall the previous version, see step 1 of Installing Halted State Services (HSS)
(T8004BAE) (page 36).
1. Open the NSC DVD and the MASTER folder to display its contents.
2. Double-click setup.exe.
The License Agreement dialog box appears.
3. Read the agreement. Select I accept and click Next to continue.
The Welcome dialog box appears:
