volume recovery.
volume recovery. A database recovery mechanism used by TMF to return a database to its
most recent consistent state. TMF undoes any changes that were made to the
database by transactions that were not completed.
WebLogic Server. See BEA WebLogic Server.
wormhole routing. A form of message routing whereby each part of a message is
transmitted independently along a route and one part can be forwarded to the next
node before the following parts are received.
zero latency enterprise (ZLE). An enterprise, or business, that can act quickly on new
information to gain a competitive advantage.
ZLE. See zero latency enterprise (ZLE).
ZLE applications. Applications, functions, or services that can directly access the ZLE data
store, use integration technology to access other applications and data, and update the
ZLE data store.
ZLE framework. The HP architectural framework that enables companies to deploy
applications that can take advantage of real-time information. It comprises a multilevel
architecture centered on a virtual hub, called the ZLE hub, that caches and routes
information. Within the ZLE hub resides a persistent ZLE data store and a variety of
technologies to keep the data store in sync with all the systems it integrates.
ZLE hub. A virtual hub at the center of the ZLE framework that consists of one or more
NonStop servers hosting ann SQL/MX relational database (the ZLE data store) and
enterprise application integration (EAI) technologies.
ZLE data store. The physical and logical center of the ZLE framework. It is essentially a
database front end for new and existing applications attached to the ZLE hub. The
data store functions as a hot enterprise cache, state engine, real-time data warehouse,
and relational message store. As such, it delivers, at any given time, a single,
consolidated view of all pertinent data from all applications in the enterprise. The ZLE
data store is implemented using an SQL/MX database.
