5. Enter the following OSS commands:
chown SUPER.SUPER:SUPER NSMwebServerFactory
chmod u+s NSMwebServerFactory
6. Purge the PATHOUT file in the Guardian environment.
You might get the following error message:
"ERROR- $VOL.SUBVOL.PATHOUT:
CREATE ERR 10"
Starting the Browser and Navigating to the NSM/web Page
Start a Web browser and go to the DNS name where you installed NSM/web. For
example, if you installed NSM/web at /usr/tandem/webserver/root/lobster on
www.mysite.com, you would browse to:
http://www.mysite.com/lobster/NSMweb.html
Add this address to your favorites list.
If you are verifying installation, the installation is successful when the screen includes
the logon button and the Catalogs tree node. See Figure 1-1. Note that the system
name appears only after you log on to the NonStop system using NSM/web.
Logging on to the NonStop System Using NSM/web
To log on to the NSM/web GUI, click Log On and enter a valid Guardian user name
and password.
Note. NSM/web provides a single-logon infrastructure across all its supported products
(SQL/MX and MXCS). When you log on to either product, login information is propagated to
other products, as needed.
Note. If you added NSMweb.html to the httpd.config IndexFile directive, you can access
the page using this URL:
http://www.mysite.com/NSMweb/lobster
