Stopping NSM/web
Security Considerations
When logged on, the user has access privileges to all objects under the user ID that
was specified at logon time, based on SQL/MX and MXCS rules.
When performing SQL/MX tasks, the user who creates a catalog or schema is the
owner of the catalog or schema and of objects created under them. To create objects,
users must have appropriate SQL/MX permissions.
When performing MXCS subsystem tasks, users have the privileges granted by the
system administrator (which is only the super ID (255,255) when NSM/web is first
installed). To grant permissions to other user IDs, log on as the super ID user and grant
the permissions.
Each connection can process only one user ID. If you are logged on with one user ID
and you want to log on with a different user ID, do one of the following:
•
Log off and then log on using the other user ID.
•
Start another browser and make a connection using a different user ID.
Using the NSM/web Online Help
To use NSM/web online help, click Help on any NSM/web screens for which a Help
button is provided. In addition to the context-sensitive help, a How Do I section
describes how to create a catalog, alter tables, and perform other common tasks.
