2. Start the Install Script

Start the install script install from the directory that contains the installation files:

/usr/tandem/NSMweb: ./install

The install script begins:

START NSM/web INSTALLATION

installer version: snapshot2-b12/tools/installer/install#3 , 2001/12/04

insthlpr version : snapshot2-b12/tools/installer/insthlpr#3 2001/11/17

The current configuration settings are displayed:

OSS root directory : /usr/tandem/NSMweb

Webserver root directory : /usr/tandem/webserver/root/NSMweb

Guardian subvol : /G/SYSTEM/NSMweb

3. Enter the OSS Root Directory

In the OSS directory section of the script, you can enter the root OSS directory for your

installation, or leave it blank to use the default:

OSS Installation directory

The root OSS directory for your installation.

ENTER the directory here or leave blank to use the current

value /usr/tandem/NSMweb : /usr/tandem/myNSMweb/lobster

4. Enter the Location for Web Pages

In the Web installation section of the script, enter the location for the Web pages, or

leave it blank to use the default:

The web directory for your installation.

You are specifying where NSM/web's web pages will be installed.

You must start with the absolute pathname of your web server's

directory and then append the directory for NSM/web's web

elements. You should ask your webmaster's advice.

For instance, if your web server directory is

/usr/tandem/webserver, you might enter

/usr/tandem/webserver/root/NSMweb as your response to the

following prompt.
