NonStop™ ODBC Server Messages
This section lists messages generated by the NonStop™ ODBC Server. It describes both
messages that are displayed on the workstation and event messages that are logged to $0
(or the default collector).
Messages Displayed on the Workstation
This subsection lists in numeric order the messages that are generated by the NonStop™
ODBC Server and displayed on the workstation. Each message description includes the
following information:
Message number and text
Cause of the message
Effect to the system as a result of the message cause
Recovery strategy suggested to correct the error or warning
The text of some messages contains a variable in italic text. When you receive one of
these errors, the NonStop™ ODBC Server substitutes either text or a number for the
variable. For example, a value representing a table name receives the actual name of the
table on which the error occurs.
Because some message numbers are either obsolete or reserved for future use, messages
do not all appear in strict numerical sequence.
Message Format
When the NonStop™ ODBC Server returns an error or warning to the workstation, it
returns the message number, level, state, and text in ODBC/SQL Server format, as
shown in Figure 1-1
.
