Similar change has to be made for PROV-SRV param
PARAM NAM-LIST-PARAM "INSNAME,$omni1"
Modify it to give semi-colon separated list of Node Name and fully qualified pathmon
name for each node.
For example
Pathcom>ALTER PROV-SRV, PARAM NAM-LIST-PARAM
"INSNAM1,\SYS1.$omni1;INSNAM2,\SYS2.$omni2"
After this change, please start the servers at each node.
Please verify your installation as mentioned below.
Steps executed By Multinode Installation:
1) The MULTIINS macro prepares as many sets of INSTALLx and ZINSTALx
depending on the number of nodes.
2) The INSTALLx macro executed at the desired node unpaks all the edit files,
object files to the current directory.
The rest of the steps executed by the INSTALLx macro are same as Single Node
Installation.
14.2 User Inputs Needed For MULTIINS
14.2.1.1 Number Of Nodes
(Default = 2)
This specifies the number of nodes a user would like to have in the Multinode
Environment. Number of nodes decides the range over which the OmniMessaging
environment would be distributed. Default 2 nodes will be configured.
14.2.1.2 Node Names
(No Default)
These are the names that would be used by the OmniMessaging Environment to
recognize each node in a Multinode environment. These node names will be used
while assigning primary/backup nodes for each user/mailbox.
14.2.1.3 Instance Alphabet
(Default = ‘a’)
In normal circumstances there can be one or more OmniMessaging™ instances on a
system. We support multiple instances on a single system and the Instance Alphabet
can very from a to z. The instance alphabet is used to create unique database
instances and unique process names.
Ask us for tips on how to improve the performance of your OmniMessaging™ system.
For Example:
For Instance number a
Server Process Name for dst01-srv: $da11
Catalog subvol imapcta
Database subvol imapdba
The Inputs taken By INSTALLx macro are same as the Single Node INSTALL macro
except for Instance Number, which is taken by MULTIINS macro as Instance
Alphabet.
