14.3 Verify Installation
Installation can be verified in the same way as for Single Node except for below
mentioned exceptions:
1) Multinode Installation process configures pathway environment and various server
classes but it doesn’t start the pathway servers.
Before starting the servers above mentioned modification in the OSR and PROV
server classes are to be done.
2) Instead of Instance Number Multinode Installation uses Instance alphabet.
14.3.1 Extra Multinode Files contained in the PAK file
14.3.1.1 Edit /Obey files and Macro files (o*/r*)
Source Filename Description
MULTIINS This is the wrapper macro over the single node installation macro
INSTALL. This macro takes multinode specific input and customizes
the INSTALL macro for installation each of the node of Multinode
environment.
14.3.1.2 Object files
OSR Open Switch requester to enable communication between remote node
servers of Multinode Environment. The servers who want to know the
remote OSS process name ready for work, talk to OSR.
OSS Open Switch Server to enable communication between remote node servers
of Multinode Environment. The servers who want work, talk to OSS.
COPYSRV Copy server to copy messages between 2 nodes of Multinode Environment
