6.6 MIMAP Port
(Default 9723)
This is the port for MIMAP server. You need to be a super group user to use a port
number less than 1024.
Maximum value can be 65535.
6.7 POP Port
(Default 110) **
This is the port for POP server. You need to be a super group user to use a port
number less than 1024.
Maximum value can be 65535.
6.8 LISTNR Port
(Default 1111)
This is the port for Listnr server. You need to be a super group user to use a port
number less than 1024.
Maximum value can be 65535.
6.9 SMSC Port
(Default 8702)
This is the port for SMS server for connecting to SMSC. You need to be a super group
user to use a port number less than 1024.
Maximum value can be 65535.
**NOTE: Only process started by Himalaya super users can use a port less than
1024. Non super users can use ports between 1024 – 65536. This is a server
security and does not affect the client other than ensuring that the client connects to
the right port.
6.10 TCP/IP Process Name
(Default $ZTC0)
This attribute identifies the TCP/IP configuration to be used for all the processes.
6.11 Pathmon Name
(Default $OMNIx where x is the instance number)
This is the pathmon process name that monitors the servers.
6.12 Host Name
(Default “OMNIMAIL”)
This is the host name that is displayed during the greeting when you first connect.
7 Verify Installation
The installation can be verified using the following steps
The Catalog files should have been created on your [catalog volume].imapct[instance
number]
Tacl> fileinfo $[catalog volume].imapct[instance number].*
