Omni messaging is designed to be flexible enough to get efficiently configured for
different kinds of business solutions. System Configuration should help making
maximum advantage of the system facilities.
Omni Messaging can be configured at different levels.
For description and details please refer to “Omni3 Functional Description” document.
System level configuration involves setting up the parameters and facilities applicable
to the whole application
Different system level facilities i.e. security, mailbox space, system performance
parameters can be configured using ‘System tab’ in the Provisioning Client Interface.
Service Package determines types of services provided by Omni Messaging.
Service providers can configure different kinds of service packages to provide the
range of service support for different kinds of subscription plans.
Service Package can be created using ‘SystemFunctions’ in provisioning client
interface.
An Account is the billing unit in omni messaging. An Account level configuration is
applicable to the given particular subscription. Service package opted while creating
an account determines the facilities available / subscription type of the account.
Each account can opt for a namespace. Namespace is the directory root for mailbox
space allocated to accounts. Hence many accounts of same kind can use same
Namespace, or each account (especially in case account is very big) can go to create
its own namespace.
Omni Messaging provides facility of personalized domains per account. Account
subscriber can opt for system domain or can be also be allocated his own personalized
domain name.
Many users can share the same account having one billing entity and common
namespace subscribed by a bunch of users. However users shall have their own
individuality i.e. Separate password and private mailboxes. Such account is called Family
Account.
