NAME
remquof - Computes the remainder of a division operation with quotient for float values
LIBRARY

SYNOPSIS
float remquof(
float x,
float y
int *quo);
PARAMETERS
x Is a float number that is the numerator of the division.
y Is a float number that is the denominator of the division.
quo Is the quotient value of the division.
DESCRIPTION
The remquof() function is a float version of the remquo() function; it takes float arguments and
returns a float result.
The remquof() function computes the same remainder as the remainderf( ) function. In the
object pointed to by quo, the remquof() function stores a value whose sign is the sign of x/y and
whose magnitude is congruent modulo 2
n
, where n is 7
NOTES
This function is implemented only for the IEEE_float oating-point option. Applications using
this function cannot be compiled if the specified floating-point option is Tandem_float.
RETURN VALUES
The remquof() function returns the same values as the remainderf( ) function.
When the value of x or y is NaN, the remquof( ) function returns NaN.
When the value of x is positive or negative infinity, or the value of y is positive or negative zero
and the other argument is non-Nan, the remquof( ) function returns NaN and sets errno to
[EDOM].
ERRORS
If any of the following conditions occurs, the remquof( ) function sets errno to the correspond-
ing value:
[EDOM] The value of the x parameter is positive or negative infinity, or the value of the y
parameter is positive or negative zero and the other argument is non-Nan.
