OSS Library Calls (s) signbit(3)
NAME
signbit - Tests sign of a floating-point value
LIBRARY
H-series and J-series native Guardian processes: $SYSTEM.ZDLLnnn.ZCREDLL
32-bit H-series and J-series OSS processes: /G/system/zdllnnn/zcredll
64-bit H-series and J-series OSS processes: /G/system/zdllnnn/ycredll
SYNOPSIS
#include <math.h>
int signbit(
floating-type x);
PARAMETERS
floating-type Specifies the floating-type of x.
x Specifies a value of type floating-type.
DESCRIPTION
The signbit( ) macro determines whether the sign of its argument value (which may be a
floating-point number, zero, infinity, or NaN) is negative. The argument must be of floating type.
NOTES
This macro is implemented only for the IEEE_float floating-point option. Applications using
this macro cannot be compiled if the specified floating-point option is Tandem_float.
RETURN VALUES
The signbit( ) macro returns a nonzero value if and only if the sign of its argument value is nega-
tive.
ERRORS
No errors are defined.
