PARAMETERS
x Specifies a float number.
y Specifies a float number.
DESCRIPTION
The fmaxf( ) function is a float version of the fmax( ) function; it takes float arguments and
returns a float result.
The fmaxf( ) function determines the minimum numeric value of two floating-point numbers.
NaN arguments are treated as missing data. If one argument is a NaN and the other numeric, the
fmaxf( ) function returns the numeric value.
NOTES
This function is implemented only for the IEEE_float oating-point option. Applications using
this function cannot be compiled if the specified floating-point option is Tandem_float.
RETURN VALUES
Upon successful completion, the fmaxf( ) function returns the minimum numeric value of x and
y.
If one argument is a NaN and the other numeric, the fmaxf( ) function returns the numeric value.
If both x and y are NaNs, the fmaxf( ) function returns NaN.

No errors are defined.
