OSSTTY Subsystem Messages
newlogfile
is the name of the fileset PXLOG file after FSCK completed.
Cause. FSCK finished diagnosing the indicated fileset.
Effect. The fileset is available to start (mount) and use.
Recovery. Informational message only; no corrective action is needed.

fileset
is the name of the fileset that is the subject of the message, represented as a
subdevice of the OSS Monitor process.
numAssocVols
is the number of disk volumes associated with the fileset.
Cause. The fileset has more than 200 associated volumes.
Effect. This is a warning message. If the number of associated volumes for the fileset
reaches 256, then some of the pool volumes specified in a Subsystem Control Facility
(SCF) START FILESET or CONTROL FILESET command with the SYNC option for
the fileset might not be eligible for file creation within the fileset.
Recovery. Informational message only; no corrective action is needed if the number of
associated volumes is close to 200.
If the number of associated volumes is 256, then:
1. Delete files from this fileset until a few associated volumes no longer contain files
belonging to this fileset.
2. Issue the SCF CONTROL FILESET command with the SYNC option to
synchronize the pool volumes for the fileset.
OSSTTY Subsystem Messages
The messages in this section are generated by the OSSTTY subsystem. OSSTTY
generates the unnumbered messages described in Startup Messages on page A-96
when it is first started. It can log the EMS messages described in EMS Messages on
page A-100 while running; the subsystem ID displayed by these messages includes
OSSTTY as the subsystem name.
