New and Changed Information
Information about the G-series Internet Domain Name System (DNS) BIND 9 versions
9.2.3 and 9.3 was added as follows:
•
Related Reading, Training, and Services on page xvii was modified to add the
configuration and management manual.
•
The Network Services Servers and Tools on page 4-5 and elsewhere in Section 4
were modified to discuss DNS components.
The following changes do not apply for the H06.03 RVU:
•
Information about the terminal helper server process was added as follows:

Components to Be Managed on page 1-9 was reorganized to add a subsection
for Input/Output Utilities on page 1-9 that describes the relationship between
the terminal helper server process and Telserv or an OSSTTY server.
°
Introducing the OSS Servers on page 4-1 was modified to add a subsection
about The Terminal Helper Servers on page 4-4.
°
New OSSTTY server Event Management Service (EMS) and terminal helper
server messages were added to Appendix A, Messages.
°
The number of file opens per terminal process allowed by the terminal helper
server was added to Appendix E, Environment Limits.

Information about the new fileset attributes FTIOMODE and NORMALIOMODE for

Section 5, Managing Filesets as a new subsection (Changing Fileset

page 5-20. The S_NONSTOP extension for file opens is now ignored, so the
table listing relative performance when it is set or not set was removed.
