Open System Services NFS Management and Operations Guide

process. If this run option is omitted, the command interpreter pauses while the process
runs.
PRI priority
specifies the execution priority of the OSS NFS manager process. priority is an integer
in the range 1 through 199. Specifying a value greater than 199 causes the process to
run at priority 199. If this run option is omitted, the priority of the manager process is one
less than the priority of the initiating TACL process.
OUT out-file
specifies the file that receives start-up error messages, if any. If an error occurs during a
write to the OUT file, the home terminal is used. This run option must specify a permanent
device. For more information, see the note under TERM term-file.
TERM term-file
specifies the home terminal of the OSS NFS manager process. This terminal must always
be available and must not be a TELNET or Multilan session.
On systems running D-series RVUs, you can specify the $OSP or $NULL process for
term-file. on other NonStop systems, you can specify the $ZHOME process for a
term-file.
If you do not use one of the indicated processes, this run option must specify a permanent
device.
NOTE: Start the OSS NFS manager process with IN, OUT, and TERM run options that
refer to permanent devices. If any of these options are specified as a dynamic terminal,
after that terminal’s session ends, the OSS NFS manager process will be unable to start
any processes.
param
is one of the following parameters:
[ BACKUPCPU ] backup-cpu
specifies the processor number of the backup processor. The BACKUPCPU keyword can
be omitted only if this is the first parameter specified in the command. If this parameter is
supplied, it must specify an existing processor that is different from the primary processor.
If this parameter is not supplied, the OSS NFS manager process does not run as a process
pair.
CLEAROPENS [ TRUE | FALSE ]
specifies whether the saved remote mount information should be discarded (TRUE) or saved
and restored on restart (FALSE). If this parameter is omitted, the default value is FALSE.
The OSS NFS subsystem saves information about the remote mount of each file system that
it manages. To achieve transparent recovery during restarts of the OSS NFS subsystem,
CLEAROPENS should be set to FALSE so that this information is restored when the manager
process is restarted.
CONFIG subvol
specifies the subvolume reserved for OSS NFS configuration files. These files all have names
of the form ZZNFSnnn, where n is a digit in the range 0 through nine. If this parameter is
not specified, the current subvolume is used.
COLLECTOR name
is the name of the EMS collector to be used for EMS events. If this parameter is not specified,
the primary collector $0 is used.
