Open System Services NFS Management and Operations Guide

spooler-location
specifies the name of the spooler location process and subdevice to receive jobs sent to
printer-name by PCNFSD clients. This value must refer to a valid spooler location, either
local or remote.
# comment
indicates a comment string that is ignored by PCNFSD. When a # character is preceded by
a space or tab character or begins a new line, text following the # is treated as a comment.
(Note however, that the # character in spooler names is not considered a comment indicator
because it is preceded by a period.)
Example
VOLUME $SYSTEM.ZOSSNFS
PARAM ZPCD^SPOOL^COLLECTOR $T
PARAM ZPCD^SPOOL^SUPERVISOR $SPLT
RUN PCNFSD/NAME $PCD0,NOWAIT,IN ZPCDCONF/ &
-HOMEDIR /usr/home -SPOOLDIR /usr/spool
In this example, the ZPCDCONF file contains these entries:
p247 \FOXII.$S.#POST247.DEFAULT # Room 1234 Loc 247
vangogh \DDS1.$S.#VANGOGH.RAW # Room 625 Loc 1
Starting OSS NFS
Start-Up Dependencies
Proper operation of OSS NFS depends on starting the following items in the proper sequence.
OSS NFS Manager Process
The OSS NFS manager process must be running for SCF and SCP commands to be accepted.
Servers
Servers are locally mounted in the OSS hierarchy as they are started. Servers higher in the directory
hierarchy must be started before those lower in the hierarchy, so that the mount points of lower
servers are available through a server when the lower servers are started. Therefore, the root server
must be the first server started.
OSS Files
An OSS file cannot be accessed until its corresponding server has been started.
Group Members
Before users can be added to a group object, they must be defined as user objects
LAN Interface Processes
The NonStop TCP/IP subsystem and the RPC port mapper must be running and available before
you can start a LAN object. Start LAN objects only after the SERVER objects have been started and
the EXPORT objects defined.
Starting and Restarting OSS NFS
The OSS NFS subsystem is stopped when it is first installed. It also becomes stopped in response
to a STOP SUBSYS command or a loss of the OSS NFS manager process. To start or restart the
subsystem:
