3.1.1 Files Installed on DCE Client Machines

This section gives an overview of the software that is installed on DCE clients.

Additional details are provided in Sections 3.1.2 through 3.1.7.

3.1.1.1 Minimum DCE Client

A minimum DCE client conﬁguration contains client services for DCE RPC, CDS,

Security, and DTS.

3.1.1.2 Full DCE Client

In addition to the ﬁles needed for the minimum DCE client conﬁguration, the full DCE

client contains client-side ﬁles for GDS and DFS. The ﬁles for a full DCE client are as

follows; this list includes the ﬁles needed for a minimum DCE client:

• Daemons
