Manuals for X25AM (Tandem X.25 Access Method)
Manuals for X25AM (Tandem X.25 Access Method)
X.25 Access Method enables a NonStop system to connect to public or private data
networks conforming to the CCITT X.25 recommendation. It is used by applications
and terminals on a NonStop system to communicate with host computers or terminals in
an X.25 network.
There are six manuals in the X25AM manual set, as follows:
•
Introduction to Tandem X.25 Capabilities. This manual provides an overview of the
X.25 standard. It describes the Tandem implementation using X25AM and provides
information on how X25AM can be used with other Tandem products.
•
X25AM Programming Manual. This manual describes the programmatic interface
provided by X25AM for application programs that run on a Tandem host and
interact with other devices on a WAN using an X.25 packet-switched network. It
summarizes the procedure calls and file-system errors for the X25AM subsystem.
•
SCF Reference Manual for X25AM. This manual describes the SCF commands and
attributes used to configure, control, modify, and inquire about the X25AM
subsystem.
•
Operator Messages Manual describes system messages and provides an explanation
of the cause, a discussion of the effect on the system, and suggestions for corrective
action.
•
X25AM Management Programming Manual. This manual describes the DSM
programmatic interfaces (SPI-format commands, responses, and event messages)
provided by X25AM for the management application programs that run on a
Tandem host and manage the X25AM subsystem. It includes a list and description
of command, response, and EMS tokens.
•
System Generation Manual for X25AM. This manual describes the X25AM
modifiers that can be specified for the system generation program (SYSGEN) and
for the Configuration Utility Program (COUP).
