D.1.7 Services Provided to PLS
D.1.7 Services Provided to PLS
Please indicate if the implementation provides the following services to the PLS sub-
layer (see § 4.3.3 of the base standard).
D.1.8 Services Provided to LLC
Please indicate if the implementation provides the following services to the LLC sub-
layer (see § 4.3.2 of the base standard).
D.1.9 MAC Parameter Values
From the base standard:
4.4.1 Compatibility Overview.
To provide a total compatibility at all levels of the
standard, it is required that each network component
implementing the CSMA/CD MAC sublayer procedure adheres
rigidly to these specifications. The information in
4.4.2.1 provides design parameters for a specific
implementation of this access method. Variations from
these values result in a system implementation that
violates the standard.
The following values control the internal operation of the MAC protocol. If the
implementation uses these values, enter a “Y” after the parameter name. Otherwise,
enter the value that the implementation uses (see COSSS spec § 6.4.4.2).
