There are new considerations for this procedure.
When using the Presentation Protocol, ISO 8823, in X.410-1984 mode, applications
pass user data to remote applications in the user-data parameter of the
APS_ASSOC_CONNECTREQ_ procedure. This user data is mapped directly,
unchanged, as the “User data” parameter of the S-CONNNECT request session
service primitive in the Session Layer.
The following parameters in the APS_ASSOC_CONNECTREQ_ procedure contain
object IDs:
pres-context-list
pres-default-context-name
acse-appl-context-name
acse-local-ae-title
acse-remote-ae-title
Setting the
compress-objid
parameter in the APS_ASSOC_CONNECTREQ_
procedure call affects the following parameters of the APS_ASSOC_GETPARAM_
procedure:
pres-context-list
pres-context-result-list
pres-default-context-name
acse-appl-context-name
The following parameters of the APS_ASSOC_CONNECTRSP_ procedure contain
object IDs:
pres-context-result-list
acse-appl-context-name
acse-local-ae-title
acse-local-ae-title
and
acse-remote-ae-title
: These parameters are
treated differently when they are retrieved after a call to the
APS_ASSOC_CONNECTREQ_ procedure. Regular object IDs are returned if
regular object IDs are given to the APS_ASSOC_CONNECTREQ_ procedure.
Compressed object IDs are returned if compressed object IDs are given to the
APS_ASSOC_CONNECTREQ_ procedure. If the compress-objid flag in the
APS_ASSOC_CONNECTREQ_ procedure is set to ZAPS-VAL-TRUE and the acse-
local-ae-title and acse-remote-ae-title parameters are retrieved from the database,
then compressed object IDs are returned. If the compress-objid flag in the
APS_ASSOC_CONNECTREQ_ procedure is set to ZAPS-VAL-FALSE and the
acse-local-ae-title and acse-remote-ae-title parameters are retrieved from the database,
then regular object IDs are returned.
OSI/AS SCF Enhancements:
The ADD ENTRY #APPL and ALTER ENTRY #APPL commands can accept an
expanded object ID. If the object ID cannot be compressed, an error is returned.
