About the OSI/AS and
OSI/TS Manual Set
The OSI/AS subsystem and the OSI/TS subsystem together provide core services that
support the seven-layer OSI Reference Model. With the addition of support for RFC-
1006, services are also provided to allow OSI applications to communicate over the
Internet. The set of manuals for these two products is listed in Table 0-1. The table
lists the tasks that the OSI/AS and OSI/TS manuals are designed to support and the
type of information provided in each manual.
